Arrest and Booking Module

The arrest and booking module captures information associated with persons arrested.  Some of those arrestees may subsequently be put through a booking or pre-booking process. This module has the ability to capture information relating to a subject, that subjects vehicle, property, health, and relationships. The module captures information on the charges for which the person was arrested. The module also provides a custody log, which, if applicable can be used to record welfare or status checks on persons held in detention facilities which do not have regular jail or custody officers present.

* All arrestees, even those that were not physically "Booked" should be entered into the Arrest and Booking Module, if those arrests are to be tabulated for the purposes of UCR and NIBRS reports.   In such cases the arrest date/time and release date/time will be the same value.

The arrest and booking module uses a single form with 8 pages. The pages on the form are as follows: Person, Additional, Vehicle, Date / Location, Charges, Inventory, Cust. Log and Medical.   The person page is used to display and capture basic name, address, telephone and physical description information. Each arrest record represents the arrest of a single person. The person listed is linked to the master name index file. The page provides the user with CrimeStars quick-fill feature to speed the data entry process.   The next page (Additional) provides space for additional information on the same subject, such as the occupation, employer, employer address, cautions and emergency contact information. This page also provides you with the ability to capture one or more photos that will be linked to the booking (See: Booking Photo).  The third page (Vehicle) provides space to capture identification information about any vehicle that the arrested subject may have been driving or occupying at the time of the arrest.
