Program Code

The program code identifies a particular enforcement program utilized to make the arrest.

Example: During the holiday season your department establishes a drunk driving enforcement program where certain officers or teams of officers are specifically assigned to enforce drunk driving laws. When an arrest is made for drunk driving by one of these officers, the Program field can be used to indicate that the arrest was made as part of that drunk driving enforcement program rather than by a patrol officer not assigned to such a program.

Note that the program, class and role codes are tracked on a per arrest basis and specifically not on a per violation basis.
