CrimeStar provides you with the ability to create various user defined Involvement codes in order to create involvements for existing Master Name records. While you can create your own codes, it is important to realize that CrimeStar uses certain pre-defined Involvement codes when programmatically creating or updating an Involvement for an MNI record. For consistency reasons the codes you define should at a minimum include the following pre-defined Involvement codes:
VIC = Victim
WIT = Witness
RP = Reporting Party
SUS = Suspect
OTH = Other
UNK = Unknown
MA = Misd. Arrest
FA = Felony Arrest
INF = Infraction
CIV = Civil
OTH = Other
UNK = Unknown
Please realize that involvement codes that you define are primarily for your use to add miscellaneous involvements not created by another CrimeStar Module.
