When CrimeStar incident reports are printed the names of all the involved persons are listed in the report. CrimeStar will print additional name pages if necessary. Because some jurisdictions have policies or preferences regarding the order in which names should appear on a report, CrimeStar provides a method of sorting the names to control the order in which they appear. This allows you, for example, to make sure that all suspect names are listed first.
In the CrimeStar configuration module a numeric value between 1 and 5 can be assigned to an involvement type. When an incident report is printed the names with an Involvement type that have been assigned a low value will be printed first. Involvement types with a value of 1 are printed before Involvement types with a value of 2. Involvement types with a value of 2 are printed before those with a value of 3, etc.
