The Field Interview Module is designed to capture and display various information about subjects and/or vehicles involved in suspicious activity. A Field Interview is typically completed when a suspicious or questionable activity or situation is occurring that by its nature is not a criminal activity but likely could be related to a criminal activity which has occurred or may occur. In these circumstances it is often prudent to record the names, addresses, licenses or other information about people or vehicles present during these situations. The field Interview provides an official mechanism for capturing such information.
It is important to understand that often FI information is questionable as to accuracy or content, because persons contacted are not under arrest and may or may not have provided valid identification.
