When the CrimeStar map page is first activated it displays a ‘Default’ map view. The default map view can be modified to display whatever map and level of detail you wish. To set the default map view zoom the map to the desired area and level of zoom. Then select the ‘Set’ tab on the right side of the screen. Once you select the ‘set’ tab on the pageframe, the page will show you the current latitude, longitude and scale (or zoom factor) of the current map display. Click the button labeled ‘Set as Default’. This will save the current map display as the default view, which will be displayed every time CrimeStar mapping is activated.
