The CAD Control Panel provides complete functionality for assigning units and
managing all types of unit status. Users can Dispatch, Enroute, Arrive and
Clear Units by selecting that unit and simply clicking the appropriate
status command button. Likewise, users can drag & drop units
from the Unit Status Monitor or events (i.e. calls)
from the Event Status Monitor to a specific status
command button to invoke that command. Beyond this simple windows user
interface, dispatchers who are used to or proficient with a Command Line,
interface can type specific delimited command syntax to perform any
dispatch or status activity.
The Control Panel also has display windows to notify the dispatcher of certain
officer safety timer conditions and message alerts.
