You can customize your CrimeStar Desktop to include a screen logo or background picture on the main CrimeStar screen. When the CrimeStar program begins it searches for a graphic file named "logo.jpg" or "logo.bmp", or "logo.gif" (in that specific order). If the graphics file is found CrimeStar will display this file in the main screen. If a file of that name is not found the screen remains blank.
Crimestar distributes a sample file named "logo.gif" with the installation of the software.
This little feature lets you display a scanned picture of your department’s badge or patch to make Crimestar look a bit more at home within your department.
