Why is everything so small ?

CrimeStar was designed to operate on computers using various levels of display resolution. The minimum display resolution needed to use CrimeStar is Standard VGA (640 x 480 ). Most CrimeStar forms are designed to fill most of the screen at this resolution. If the CrimeStar toolbars are active then some forms may even to too big to properly display at 640 x 480 resolution.

The best screen resolution to use with CrimeStar is 800 x 600 or higher. This resolution will ensure that all CrimeStar forms can be viewed even when the toolbars are active.

However if you are operating your display monitor at a higher resolution such as 1024 x 768 everything will appear smaller. At higher resolutions it is easier to display multiple forms at the same time as each form will occupy less of the available screen space, however the trade-off is that everything on that form will become smaller and subsequently harder to read.
