If you should need to uninstall CrimeStar RMS, please realize the limitations of the standard Windows uninstaller. When you run the Windows Uninstaller to remove a program such as CrimeStar RMS from your computer, the uninstaller will only remove those files that were installed during the original setup process. Many of the files that are used by CrimeStar RMS are not installed during the Setup process, but are instead, created by the program after the setup process has completed. As a result these files that were created by the software were never registered with Windows as part of the original install and will not be removed.
To ensure a complete uninstallation of CrimeStar RMS from your computer, you should first run the Windows uninstall using either the original setup program or the uninstaller in the Windows Control Panel. Once you have completed an Uninstall, you should then locate the \crimestar directory or folder on your computer and delete it. By deleting the \crimestar directory this will remove the remaining files that were subsequently created by the CrimeStar RMS software but not registered with Windows as part of the setup.
