CrimeStar provides you with the ability to configure up to 1000 diminutive (Alias) first names. These values will be used as part of the search criteria when a first name value is specified. For Example: If you configure ‘Bob’ as a diminutive or alternate first name for ‘Robert’, then a first name search for 'Robert' will search for both ‘Robert’ and ‘Bob’ as acceptable values.
Diminutive references are loaded into memory when CrimeStar is started. These references will NOT be updated in memory by `Loading the Edit Tables'
Diminutive names can be added or modified via the "Diminutive Names" page of the Crimestar RMS Configuration Form.
