The Crimestar RMS Enterprise Edition has the same great features and capabilities found in the Professional Edition, however it has been internally enhanced to use the high-powered, high capacity Microsoft SQL Server Database engine rather than the desktop "DBF" type database engine.
The overall look, feel and operation of the two product editions are exactly the same. However the use of Microsoft SQL Server provides a true high performance Client Server database system that can handle much larger volumes of information and work more efficiently on a Wide Area Network (WAN), while maintaining high speed data access. Recommended for larger law enforcement agencies, the Enterprise Edition provides the same great ease of use in an industrial strength system.
The Enterprise Edition of Crimestar RMS requires that the customer have a file server running Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or newer. Older versions of Microsoft SQL Server may work but are not recommended or supported.
