Crimestar RMS has a built-in interface to the
Court Solutions
LLC online Citation/Ticket fine payment
system. This service allows violators to use a credit card online to pay
their traffic ticket fines. There
are no costs or fees to the issuing agency for using this service.
Just create and activate your FREE
account with Court Solutions to get started. Once your account
is activated, court solutions will provide your agency with the needed
connection information to use in the Crimestar configuration file. Once
configured, your copy of Crimestar RMS can begin quickly and securely
transferring ticket data to this online service so that ticket related
fees and fines can be quickly and conveniently paid online by credit card.
Unlike the Court Solutions Bail Payment Interface, Citation/Ticket data is not immediately transferred to the Court Solutions payment service as soon as the Citation is Saved. Instead, Citation data is sent in batches using the "Export Citation Records" option from the "Court" menu of Crimestar RMS.

SETUP: Upon receiving your account login information from Court Solutions it will be necessary to enter those values into the Court Solutions page of the RMS Configuration.
Once the FTP login data is entered into the RMS Configuration, Crimestar RMS will be ready to transfer the citation/ticket fine information to the Court Solutions system. This is done manually by selecting "COURT" from the main program menu, then select "Export Citation Records" and then the option to Transfer data to Court Solutions. Once some of the basic ticket data has been sent to the Court Solutions system, violators can visit the Court Solutions web site to pay their traffic fines online using a credit card. Court Solutions then automatically transfers that payment electronically back to your agency's bank account. It is simple, fast and a FREE service to agencies running Crimestar RMS.
Use of this interface requires that the workstation where the citation transfer is invoked to have FTP access to the internet. FTP access is obtained via TCP/IP port 21. Standard Internet Web "Browsing" (http) is typically done via TCP/IP port 80. For those workstations where internet access has been restricted it is possible to allow port 21 (FTP) to be used while still restricting port 80 (http: Web Browsing) and all other internet traffic. Consult with your network administrator for the proper configuration of you network Router(s) and/or Firewall.
