To send a SMS text message to a mobile phone via SMTP e-mail, find your mobile phone service provider in the list of Carriers below.  Then substitute your 11-digit mobile phone number for ‘number’ in the e-mail address format provided.  Example:  Suppose your mobile phone number is 1-805-123-4567 and your mobile phone service provider is Verizon.  You would string together the country code (1=USA) your area code (805) and phone number (1234567) into one long 11 digit number with no periods or dashes followed by the @ symbol and the mobile phone service provider's SMS gateway domain name [ 18051234567@vtext.com ].  Any message sent to this e-mail address will then be delivered as an SMS text message to the mobile phone associated with that mobile number.
