If it should become necessary to regress back to a prior release of the CrimeStar software be sure to perform the following steps:
1. Always have a good backup of your database before making any software version changes. Just in case.
2. The Installation process will not overwrite a newer file with an older one when the file contains version information that can be compared. So if the version that is currently on your computer is newer (Greater Version #) than the version you are attempting to install, the newer version will not be replaced. To resolve this issue manually delete the current CrimeStar.exe file from your CrimeStar directory before running the installation process.
