	Login Access to the Web Interface is completely controlled via the Crimestar RMS system security module including user specific options for enforcing FBI/NCIC compliant Complex Login ID values, Complex Passwords and device based Two Factor Authentication for even higher security.
	If the transaction logging feature is activated all detail data records viewed are logged to the RMS audit log database. Transaction logging captures the Date & Time, User ID, IP Connection Address and the Identification of the record(s) viewed. Those log files can then be searched and examined from within Crimestar RMS to meet audit requirements.
	By installing an optional Trusted Security Certificate on your IIS Web Server, all Crimestar Web Interface transactions can, and in most circumstances should, be run over a secured Encrypted HTTPS:// Connection! SSL certificates are provided by a variety of 3rd party Certificate Authorities and can now be obtained 100% Free via Let's Encrypt which is an open certificate authority (CA), run for the public’s benefit. If you want to install a Let's Encrypt certificate in IIS we recommend the Win-Acme installer.
	The Crimestar Web Interface can maintain separate database connections for Computer Aided Dispatch "CAD" transactions and Records Management System "RMS" transactions. For those Crimestar customers who use the RMS synchronize utility to create multi-agency regional databases system of shared information, your Web Interface can (for example) query your own local database for real-time CAD system transactions while using the shared Regional Database for RMS Queries.
	The Crimestar Web Interface can be configured to communicate with the Crimestar Message Switch Gateway (MSG). This allows for various State/Federal CJIS/NLETS transaction to be performed easily and seamlessly from your mobile device.
	The Interface can be run on any device that has a web browser, however the interface utilizes data formatting and visual screen layouts that are optimized for the typical smartphone tall & narrow display format. Hyperlinks are represented as buttons making it easier to select items and navigate thru the data via a touch screen display.
	The Crimestar Web Interface is offered with a very generous licensing scheme allowing for up to 100 users per site license on an Unlimited # of web enabled devices. For most small and mid-sized agencies one (1) CWI site license is all you need to allow access for all your field officers, investigators and administrative staff.
